In brief...

From studios in Newcastle and Nottingham, GT3 Architects champion an inclusive, sustainable and engaging way of doing business.

In early 2020, the GT3 team underwent a restructure to set the foundations for future growth. As part of their plans, they commissioned Cube for an initial project to work with them on strategic business development activity. The aim was two-fold; to reduce pressure on their new Head of Marketing and to give strategic support to enhance the business development capability of their senior team and help drive growth in their respective areas of the business.

"an established network of contacts, Cube was able to quickly identify the areas where we had significant crossovers in our sector expertise. Nicola coached the team to capitalise on these opportunities and to highlight new avenues for marketing based on our relevant skills, objectives and people focused approach. We look forward to taking our business development activity to the next stage.

People people

Like us, the GT3 team is determinedly people focused. In its work it positions people, not buildings at the heart of projects, working to ensure that the spaces they create are not just beautiful but that they deliver real, enduring value to the people who use and operate them long into the future.

A key focus for GT3 was to develop its senior team through coaching and mentoring and giving them the confidence to generate new business within their sectors. We delivered 10 days strategic consultancy over a period of five weeks to help build confidence and maintain momentum in the business development process.

Bringing the Business Model Canvas to life

We were able to work with the team, bringing together their sector level Business Model Canvases to identify cross overs and key targets. We mapped out the key area of expertise such as sports, leisure and hospitality and translated particular sector knowledge to apply it to other areas such as local authorities, education, stadia and commercial projects

Making the most of marketing

By understanding that their people focused approach was what set them apart, we were able to support the team with strategic sales, marketing and business development activity.

"Through identifying, researching and qualifying prospects among the team, they were able to liaise effectively with their new Head of Marketing to agree and implement an effective approach, targeting potential projects, clients and areas for growth."
